To my brother and all of you who likes myths

Especially Greek-mythologies. Go to the nearest cinema and buy yourself a ticket to go watch Clash of the Titans. The graphics are beautiful. The action is okay...no blasting of course, the time background is during ancient Greece. However, be sure to keep a look out for a robot the size, slightly larger than a palm. Storyline base, I think it is great. My opinion might be bias cause I love this type of ancient myths. Enough said, love a great story then go watch.

2012...for my knee

2012...it left me yawning here and there but during the graphics part...WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

Halfway through I went to the toilet together with my roomie and on the way back, I slipped and fell and rolled one round before stopping. Why? Because I was running! No wonder parents always remind their kids not to run. Landed on my knee pretty hard but luckily not on my knee cap.

notice the white ring around the scratch. the whole part swell up

The whole time after that, I was holding on to my knee in the cinema and massaged it all the way back. At home, I continued massaging it then applied a cup of cold water on it (my cup is the stainless steel type) and thanks to all that, it didnt bruise badly this morning. But it still hurts!!!!!

Kids, dont run after getting out of the toilet ESPECIALLY WITH 6 RINGGIT SLIPPERS ON!

A weekend plus 1

This weekend was quite a crazy one. The people involved are, Ravi, Chu Hui, Pei Lin, Tat, Mong, Jackson, Hei Lek, Irene and me. (Jackson, from the steamboat onwards)

Saturday,

It started with me waking up at 8am to read my notes and do some exercise on Basic Management, Accounting and Economics. At 2 pm, I went for my exam without proper lunch. I am gonna sidetrack a bit. Following are the Tete's theories during examination.

1. Must at least gone through every chapter that is coming out.

2. Must at least take a short nap just before the exam.

3. Must go to the exam with style (set hair and dress nicely).

4. Must not eat anything heavy (a bar of chocolate will be enough)

Well, that's about my theory. I went in, used 30 mins out of the 90 mins time duration to finish the questions and came out. Walked back hoping to get a pack of nasi lemak on the way but they ran out of sambal...and chicken...so, I ended up not eating lunch. About 4pm we went for a movie, The Proposal. It was a nice movie which started out with a boss proposing to her secretary for her selfish needs but...you know where this goes with that "but".

Sandra Bullock still looks beautiful despite the wrinkles. After the movie we had crabs as the main dish for our dinner! The crabs were huge! Not those tiny meatless ones. The night ended with mahjong tiles hitting against each other and blackjack. A little bit of liquor in between...a little.

Sunday,

Some of us went to the market to get stuff for that night's steamboat dinner. The rest...continued sleeping and I was one of them. Wakaka...We got prepared and set off later to Dreambox where some of us sang our lungs out and some...just sang with their lungs intact. Haha...Right after that, we went to catch another movie...ORPHAN.

The story line was good and the sound effect scared me...This movie is something like Chucky Child's Play (the human soul that got transferred into a doll body and kills people) just that the killer this time is a girl or should I say woman (you'll know why when you watch the movie). Throughout the movie, I was whispering (Oh my god...no...no...) and cursing (shit...fuck lo...whatthefuck...cb...). That was how I reacted to the movie...Then we went back, on the way getting some McD so as not to starve waiting for the steamboat and a small cake to celebrate Hei Lek's birthday. After all the boiling, eating and cleaning up, we lighted up the candle and sang a birthday song for Hei Lek...Later, mahjong tiles again, some liquor again and blackjack again before I retired to bed while they continued with DOTA.

Monday,

Woke up this morning, quite early I suppose...to a game of DOTA cause I missed last night's action. Lost like crap...Everybody wash up and we went to Mahkota Parade to land ourselves at Baskin' Robbins. It was my first time eating ice-cream here and I bought the smallest cup they got with Marcadamia and Mango Tango ice-dream mixed in it. It costed me RM18.50 after tax for it. Luckily today there was offer of 30% for it. If not, I will be paying RM 25.50 before tax for it. I got a whole cup for myself...hehehe

The pic was a bit blurry maybe because of the dim lighting and my shaking hands. Well, I finished it. The girls went to shop while we boys went to the bowling alley. I suck at bowling so I am not gonna elaborate on how I suck. After that we met up again and Ravi, Chu Hui and Pei Lin went on their way back to Klang again.

For this weekend, my face grew lots of pimples...gotta be patient and slowly nurture my face back again...That's all. Almost forgot...actually more like didnt even care...Happy Independence Day...

Drag me to...KUKU la!

Just finished watching drag me to hell. The last time I checked, the rating was 7.9 out of 10 on imdb and most people I asked said it was good.

After watching the first half of the movie, my thought was,"Shit man...the girl so suey suddenly got cursed by some bitch then some demon chasing you and harassing you before taking your soul. Fucking Damn scary!". I was shaking like hell in my chair (ask Jackson, Mong or Irene, they can tell you). Then from second half onwards, the movie became sarcastic....or rather stupid. Graphics was a bit lame also. It's like the director has no idea how to end the movie and simply put stuff inside.

Overall, the buildup of the story is good but the ending sucks. There is LOTS of disgusting things like spraying blood from the nose, vomitting some goo, disgusting fake sets of teeth, phlegm, a bloody fly going in and out of the girl's nostril then into her mouth and later coming out again, lots and lots of pulling of hair (I still wonder why the girl still have hair after all that pulling...the word "movie" explains it all).

Dont recommend you to watch it in the cinema. You can put this in...let's say almost at the end of your "I am bored and I want to do something" list. There you go...

Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen

I watched this yesterday and it left me, "WOAH!"-ing everywhere. This second movie is filled with lots "transformers" ranging from a size of a fly to enormous gigantic ones! Looking at them transform is like wooo!! Despite all the machine actions, it is kind of hilarious too.
SPOILER ALERT!
The movie tells the story of The Fallen, one of the 7 Primes which are considered the rulers of cybertron. Yeah, The Fallen as in the title. Turns out that "transformers" get their source of energy from the sun. They extract the energy from the sun which means destroying it at the same time to get their source of energy. But they have one principle which is to not destroy a sun in a galaxy with living creatures. Turn out that The Fallen doesnt give a damn and that is what this movie about; autobots trying to stop the destruction of earth and Megatron and the decepticons helping The Fallen to activate the machine planted on earth that will extract the energy from the sun.
There are more "transformers" too in this movie. 3 bikes and a pair of sarcastic twins for the autobots and whole lot of decepticon robots. I like JetFire the old robot previously a Decepticon that served under The Fallen but helped the main character against the Decepticons.
THIS MOVIE IS NOT ONLY A "MUST WATCH" MOVIE BUT IT IS A "MUST WATCH MOVIE IN THE CINEMA" OR "MUST WATCH MOVIE USING SUPER BIG SCREEN TV WITH A BLU-RAY DVD"
Oh yeah...I just got back my internet connection...almost two weeks without internet is quite frustrating...

Horror movie: Coming soon

Firstly, it's a Thai horror movie. The story is okay...like most ghost horror movies, the main actor goes to the source of the haunting and try to find a way to stop it. Like most (almost all) Thai horror movie, he/she fails to stop it and...dies...

The face of the ghost is well...a bit of a copy. If you have seen the movie "
slit-mouthed woman" before...you know what I mean.

Anyway, as usual, I was trembling in my chair watching the movie. Freaking ghost jumping out of everywhere...

Bloody Jackson (my roommate) and fei lou Tat each catch one side of my hand during one of the scary scene making me unable to assume my scary-scene-watching position =.=

Phew..midterm's over and Week 10 is coming

Week 10 is coming meaning that I have about a month more to my finals...HOLY SHIET!

Many things havent catch up. Since the midterm break I have been trailing behind in...all the subject! SHIET!

That day I thought I screwed up my Applied Dynamics midterm but it turns out that I managed to answer 3 out of 4 questions but the 1 more carries more marks...my course work is 11.06% out of 15% for that midterm.

Other exam's went fine such as the Workshop Technology which I blogged about it few days ago. But I think finals wont be that easy cause it will be subjective and there is a whole lot of theories! SHIET!

The second exam for Engineering maths I think went quite well. If I didnt make any careless mistakes I might be able to get 18/20 cause there are two answrs which I "shoot". Again, luckily it was objective also. SO...finals....SHIET!

Yesterday I had my strength of materials exam. I can do it...but there is one question which I missed the negative sign....SHIET!

Basically...SHIET! Haha...

One thing good is....Fast & Furious 4....Woo! Syiok! Nice movie...

Shinjuku Incident

Not sure whether this is taken from true history or not but a good movie in every ways.

It is well summarized by Jackson. Saves me the trouble. Haha

The UNBORN

Last Sunday, 10 of us went to watch this horror movie.

The movie has a story line so you wont go WTF here and there. As expected, I screamed and shouted everywhere. I was so into the movie until a simple slamming of a door made me jump in my chair... =.= I am not a chicken okay...coz I opened my eyes as big as I can throughout the movie. Just because I said I screamed like crazy shouldnt be a reason for you to watch this movie. Like I said, the movie has a storyline but the "scaring" part is a bit cut and paste from other horror movies. If you are a fan of horror movies and have watched many horror movies before, then you will know what I mean.

But still, it managed to give me a scare of my life coz later when I got back and tried to sleep, my heart felt weak...LoL

I think I wont be able to watch horror movies in later years of my life...Might get a heart attack you know...

This little *********** is freaking creepy...

Seven Pounds

The movie is about a guy (Will Smith) who sort of ruined 7 lives in a car crash and blames himself for that. To make up for it, he turned 7 other lives from a state of helplessness to be able to look at the world with a smile again.

The first half of the story is quite blurry and it will make you go "WTH?" a few times but eventually, everything opens up and towards the end....SO DARN SAD AND TOUCHING!

They picked the right actor to act this movie...

************************************************************************************

Btw, any of you remember this?

Hehe...this brings back old memories. I remember this once when my bro and I were kids. It was back in Penang, in my grandpa's shop. We would open the wrapper and split the flakes evenly among us. Then we would play one-two-jus and the winner gets to eat one flake of his pile. Haha...

For this few days, this will continue to be my snack. Hopefully there wont be any side effects. LoL

Marley and Me

I didnt really know what the movie is about but since my Jack and mong so~~ want to watch the movie...oh what the heck...lets go!

End up the movie was actually quite good. When I say quite good I meant very good. The story is about real life, the hardships you encounter through marriage and having a child; the importance of listening to and understanding your partner; having a loyal buddy beside you whether it is a sunny or rainy day and appreciating the ones around you everyday.

It has been sometime since I shed tears watching a movie. A round of applause for this movie from me.

Twilight

I just finished watching Twilight today. It's a vampire movie but dont put too much hope of seeing biting, tearing people apart and whatever gore stuff cause you will be disappointed.

The story is more on the love between a vampire and a human. The self-control, the sacrifice, the care for the one you love. Can say that it is a bit boring from the action point of view but from the love point of view, I think it is great.

Vampires are meant to be extraordinarily good-looking and guess what, the male vampires are good-looking (btw, I am straight) but the female vampires dont look so good except for Alice.

If given the chance, will I be a vampire? At this time I would definitely say yes because I dont have much responsibility yet to consider xD but the thought of eating "fresh meat"...err, I think I have to think again...

Watchmen

I think the idea to the movie is great but like my brother said, some scenes are just too draggy. The movie is about 2 hours plus. Taking my brothers advice, I restrained from drinking too much Pepsi and my bladder survived through the movie.

The movie sort of reflects on us humans.
1. It shows that human nature is hard to change. We cant stand still and be contented with what we already have and this leads to war.
2. "Superheroes" or you can say "good guys" are not always good-looking.
3. Like father, like child (if you get what I mean)
4. We humans are always looking for someone to blame when there is trouble.
5. A bigger catastrophe will erase all conflicts and bring us together.
6. Peace dont last, cause there will always be people looking for trouble.
7. All humans lust for power.

Ultimately, the whole movie was great if you look from the idea it is trying to portray. Its just that when the Mr. Manhattan (blue guy) talks, I cant help but think that it is sarcastic because his "bottom" is censored.

Movie's about characters in games/comics

Nowadays, making movie out of characters from games/comics is getting popular. Many of them had me amused and many more had me disappointed.

Recently, I watched Street Fighters: The Legend of Chun-Li. There is just too much plot in the movie that it seems like they are trying to rush everything into that 1 hour and 45 mins. Naturally, rushing stuff makes it look bad. The action scenes is so and so...18PL? Nah...18PL is for movies like Hitman. That is 18PL! For Chun-Li, maybe just a PG-13.

Instead of concentratin too much on the story line, the should concentrate more on Chun-Li's moves. The "Spinning Bird Kick (スピニングバードキック) ,Supiningu Bādo Kikku" didnt look like a kick...it looks like breakdance...And where is her Hyakuretsu kyaku (百裂脚) ,Hundred Rending Kicks? That is like her ulti! LoL

The fight with Vega sucked...Vega is a freaking bounty hunter and she kicked his ass like a piece of shit...(Not sure whether they cut any scenes cause their fight was freaking short) Even in the animated movie she was struggling for her life...

Anyway, nice try. Now I am waiting for Wolverine! The major reason is because I want to see Gambit! The trailer looks promising. Oh ya, Dragon Ball Evolution looks like another crap to me...

CNY and sem break is over...

Recap on what I did this CNY

On the 1st day, the whole family went down to Segamat (my father's side) to see my grandma then came back up back to Kajang before the eclipse (my mom said it was bad to travel during the eclipse...Why? something to do with negative energy and stuff)

2nd day, we had a gathering at my uncle's place somewhere in Semenyih (this time, my mom's side of the family). We had steamboat and I met my super cute but naughty cousin...Later after lunch, my big bro and me went to Kok Leong's house then hopped to Tan's girlfriend's house, then to Sam's house for dinner then back to Kok Leong's house.

3rd day, my friends invited me to Klang so I woke up about 9am and starte my journey from Kajang KTM station to Teluk Gadong where my friend will be waiting for me. The journey took almost 2 hours! O.O By the time I was in Klang, I was tired already...So Ravi picked me up from the station back to his house and met up with Jack then we went to our first destination, Chu Hui's house. After about 30 mins drive I guess, we reached at her house. Loong is there also. Arriving at the front gate there stood a small sized dog. At the sight (or maybe scent) of us, it became restless...Oh yeah, at Kok Leong's house I met his dog also, Rain. Also another hyperactive dog, jumping, sniffing and licking...so, we lepak there for a while and played some cards (gamble) before we went to Pei Lin's house which was about another 30mins drive...OMG I didnt know Klang was this big!
A bit shocked when we reached there...Pei Lin's house was huge~~~ When we arrived, her family was just going out. Wished her family Happy New Year then went in to eat cookies...hehe ^^ Played some cards while watching tv...suddenly I felt very tired...maybe her house was too spacious and comfortable LoL. Watched and tried to learn playing 3 person mahjong but still dont get how to count... Later we went to Bukit Raja Jusco to catch a movie. We decided to watch Red Cliff 2.

Woah I tell you...sibeh syok xD The strategy, the deception, the sacrifice, the determination...Fuh...This is what you call history. Not like our country's =x

Cut short, had dinner then went back.

4th and 5th day, basically rest at home and played DotA with my brother. At home, we played a four player game involving money too...MONOPOLY! haha...

That's it, here are the rest of the eclipse caught on my camera with the help of dark film and my lil bro at the end.

Second time in Sunway Pyramid (wtf...Lagoon is just beside it)

Yesterday i went to pyramid to hangkai with klang-kias (Jack and Ravi). Supposedly I can take ktm right up to Subang Jaya then my friend can pick me up from there. Somehow, I have no idea why, I set my mind to, "I MUST CHANGE TO LRT AT KL SENTRAL". So I bought a two way ticket to sentral. At sentral, I switch to LRT and ask how to get to Sunway. The guy asked me to take the LRT to Kelana Jaya. So I took it and when I reached Kelana Jaya I didnt know what to do so I called up my friend. He said how come got Kelana Jaya, it should be a station named Subang Jaya or something with Subang. I was like HOLY SHIT! Then where the hell am I? Then my other friend ask me to take a the LRT back and change back to KTM then go to Subang. I look here and there then thought of what the guy said just now. Impossible he ask me to go to Kelana Jaya if I cant reach Sunway this way. I look around and noticed some busses. I went across the road using the flyover to check the bus route. Oh! there is a bus to Sunway...but it is across the road. So, I climbed the flyover again and searched for the bus and yeah, I managed to find it. It took me about 10 mins to reach Pyramid. Luckily I didnt sit the LRT all the way back to Sentral and sit another train to Subang Jaya....

This is what I had for lunch!

Walk here walk there, all I see was girl's stuff...ended up not buying any New Year clothes...We watched Outlander also yesterday. Overall the movie is just okay okay...nothing very great nothing very suck-y.

Before going home we went for steamboat buffet at this one corner shop. This is the second time I came here...the only way to describe it is, It is as full as always.

Papa squid and baby squid xD

Then go back...got some unpleasant things happened today but I decided to ignore it and not blog about it.

The intersection between 2008 and 2009

Host: We are back after the short commercial with again....Mr. Tete.

Tete: Its me again...

Host: Well, a few more questions before you go... What is the last thing you did for 2008?

Tete: Good question...if you all missed the commercial just now, let me brief you through what happened. We (Jack, Mao, Gou and me) bought ourselves movie ticket to Bedtime Stories which will was aired at 12.15am earlier so at 12 we rushed to the cinema in Jack's car. It was new year so I thought of being a little crazy...We opened the car windows and shouted "Happy New Year!" before we depart, shouted again "Happy New Year!" at motorist on the streets, shouted "Happy New Year!" to the people at Kuning (a makan stall), shouted "Happy New Year!" yet again when passing by a mamak stall, and because of the traffic congestion, parked the car at Jusco and ran quite a distance then crossed a big road to our destination. Went up a stair just to find that the door at the top leading to the shopping complex was already locked, ran down and went for the lift instead, bought ourselves drinks and popcorns and went into the cinema.

Host: Whoa...crazy nite eh...So did you guys made it in time for the movie?

Tete: We went in puff-ing like we just ran a 100m race (actually we did, just that it wasnt a race and it wasnt 100m) to our seats and the movie started already. I did get a call from my mom wishing me Happy New Year though...

Host: Awww....So what was the first thing you did for 2009?

Tete: Drank Coke and laugh my ass off watching the movie. For those who are planning to watch the movie Bedtime Stories, look out for Bugsy. You will definitely not miss him! Too bad for my housemate, there wasnt any Chinese subtitle, so he didnt really enjoyed the movie...Mostly the movie relates to the children games and songs. If you are English educated during pre-school then you will be able to follow the movie completely but dont worry for people who are not. Its just a part of the movie. I guarantee you, you will enjoy it...Damn Bugsy...LoL

Host: I see you have a good time. Well I guess that's it. Before we go off, can we take a picture of you for rememberance?

Tete: Of course, it's my pleasure. Who would deny free publicity?

HAPPY 2009!
