Nearly broke my toes

Before last week, the last time I played basketball was more than a month ago. Yesterday, I woke up sort of late for basketball with my friends. So I rushed and forgot my shoes.

While playing, I wanted to block this guy's shot. Rarely, I found such a nice opportunity to block people, so I rushed in and smacked the ball. For his shot attempt, he jumped forward towards me. So, I jumped backwards to block his shot. The guy did not release the ball and continue to hold it in his hands which caused my whole body to sort of rotate towards being horizontal in mid-air. Then, I landed with only my left leg in the position shown below and my right leg stretched in front of me.

No other body part was in contact with the ground so that all my weight is supported only by my left leg. Fortunately, there is a moment (spinning action) still acting on my body which made my upper body lean towards the back. Feeling that my left leg is compressed to the maximum, my stomach muscle loosened and allow my body to lean to the back. Once my upper body nearly touched the floor, my right hand auto reacted by smacking the palm of my hand on the ground and my whole body came to equilibrium. It's like in the kungfu movies where the kungfu guy smackes the ground to bounce himself up again when falling just that I did not bounce up back. After that, I felt the joint in my toes aching but I still continued to play on. Adrenalin is a good thing; it makes you feel...no pain when supposingly you should be hurting like hell. Same thing happened when I sprained my right ankle last time, I continued playing with the help of adrenalin. hahaha...not until I came home did I felt the aching joints all over my left leg below the knee and on my right hand from the elbow down. "Basketball is physical sport. If there is no contact, it is not basketball." as quoted by the international referee that conducted the referee clinic.

This post ends with a laugh on my side escaping the possibility of breaking my toes. WAHAHAHAHA =)

Task failed xD

I challenged myself to read 2 books (about 300 pages each) in 4 days but turns out I failed. Few reasons why....

1. The first books was so much to my liking that when I start reading the second book, the book becomes lame. Its like eating sweet then eating a fruit. The fruit becomes tasteless.

2. Maybe I am exhausted after reading the first book. Its like eating too much during a buffet dinner that you dont feel like eating supper anymore.

Looks like both the reasons can be link to eating. Well, eating is all I have done in this past 3 weeks. Seriously gaining weight but not until 70-80 kg like that. 60 plus, maybe 65...haha...as long as I feel healthy. Will be missing home cook food when I go back this Sunday =(

Nice one ang moh lang

Today I was supposed to go KL to meet a dermatologist so that he can look at my face and find a solution for it. After driving there, there was a notice on his door saying, "we wont be open from 14/10/09 to 24/10/09. We will be open on 26/10/09". All the way there and this...=.=

So instead we went to Hai-O so that my mom could get some health products and on the way there I saw this ang moh wearing this T-shirt that goes, "Blowjob is better than No job". Nice one man...no one local would dare wear so a thing.

After that, we stop by Petaling Street to have the famous corner stall longan drink. My cup had lots of longan but my mom's didnt and she complained no longan in her drink. When I offer she decline...haha...Then I saw another ang moh sitting there drinking beer (there got lots of ang moh drinking beer), as I pass him by, a lady from the opposite direction also passed by. Then the ang moh said, "Excuse me! Excuse me!" When the lady turn around he raised his right hand and said, "High five? High five?". The lady played along and gave him a high five. Haha...super cool. Of course you can guess the lady was hot, if not I dont think he will ask for a high five xD

Staying at home is healthy...too healthy!

This few days at home I really enjoyed myself. Everything is taken care of. All I did was wake up, eat my pack of nasi lemak, click here and there on my laptop, maybe watch heroes or smallville if it fully downloaded, eat my lunch, watch discovery channel a bit (mythbusters! cool shitz man), watch some drama my mom watches on tv, eat dinner, maybe kill ppl a bit or be killed, then sleep. And yes...it has been 4-5 days having nasi lemak for breakfast and a bloody bigass pimple (combinations of two medium ones) grew on my cheek. Once the pus comes out, I am so gonna SLOWLY squeeze it out. Oh yeah, this morning, my bottom lips swell like nobody's business... =.= Kinda freaky having big lips...

CNY and sem break is over...

Recap on what I did this CNY

On the 1st day, the whole family went down to Segamat (my father's side) to see my grandma then came back up back to Kajang before the eclipse (my mom said it was bad to travel during the eclipse...Why? something to do with negative energy and stuff)

2nd day, we had a gathering at my uncle's place somewhere in Semenyih (this time, my mom's side of the family). We had steamboat and I met my super cute but naughty cousin...Later after lunch, my big bro and me went to Kok Leong's house then hopped to Tan's girlfriend's house, then to Sam's house for dinner then back to Kok Leong's house.

3rd day, my friends invited me to Klang so I woke up about 9am and starte my journey from Kajang KTM station to Teluk Gadong where my friend will be waiting for me. The journey took almost 2 hours! O.O By the time I was in Klang, I was tired already...So Ravi picked me up from the station back to his house and met up with Jack then we went to our first destination, Chu Hui's house. After about 30 mins drive I guess, we reached at her house. Loong is there also. Arriving at the front gate there stood a small sized dog. At the sight (or maybe scent) of us, it became restless...Oh yeah, at Kok Leong's house I met his dog also, Rain. Also another hyperactive dog, jumping, sniffing and licking...so, we lepak there for a while and played some cards (gamble) before we went to Pei Lin's house which was about another 30mins drive...OMG I didnt know Klang was this big!
A bit shocked when we reached there...Pei Lin's house was huge~~~ When we arrived, her family was just going out. Wished her family Happy New Year then went in to eat cookies...hehe ^^ Played some cards while watching tv...suddenly I felt very tired...maybe her house was too spacious and comfortable LoL. Watched and tried to learn playing 3 person mahjong but still dont get how to count... Later we went to Bukit Raja Jusco to catch a movie. We decided to watch Red Cliff 2.

Woah I tell you...sibeh syok xD The strategy, the deception, the sacrifice, the determination...Fuh...This is what you call history. Not like our country's =x

Cut short, had dinner then went back.

4th and 5th day, basically rest at home and played DotA with my brother. At home, we played a four player game involving money too...MONOPOLY! haha...

That's it, here are the rest of the eclipse caught on my camera with the help of dark film and my lil bro at the end.

MOO MOO~~~

Every time there is a celebration there is always the cleaning...presenting, the cloth used to clean. Why only this cloth? Coz it was once, either my bro or my pants...

Chinese New Year mah...need to make some cookies or something...I helped my mom make pineapple tart...

Wah...sluuuuuuuuuuurrrrp! Freshly baked pineapple tarts! We made about 5 small boxes of it but today on New Year's eve...left only 3/4 of a box...LoL

Today we ate this dishes for lunch...from top left...boiled chicken put with sauce; acah (the white bowl); roasted duck; chicken chop; vege; tang hoon; vege again with some pork in it. Only during these times there exist SHANDY on the table! haha....

Last Wednesday I made new spectacles coz I sorta disfigured my old ones when I was sleeping. Instead of going for the normal frames, I chose this funky frame xD

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I can't sms due to I-dont-know-what-the-hell-happened-to-my-phone.

Game - Left 4 Dead

This is a hell of an exciting game to play.
I went out to yumcha with my bro, Kok Leong and lantau last night and after that we went to search for a CyberCafe with Left 4 Dead.

We played a multiplayer map consisting of 4 players max. (that's why its called Left 4 Dead). We must survive from one map to another by killing zombies and reaching safe houses. The map is quite simple and not confusing. There is only one way to go, you just have to search for it.

Equipments:
You are allowed one primary weapon (the strong weapon), one secondary weapon (a handgun), a grenade, a healthpack and a painkiller.

Primary weapon:
1) Shotgun (pump gun) - early game you will have this as your weapon weapon of choice. Pump gun indicates that you have to pump it after shooting a bullet.

2) Semi-machine gun (uzi) - also provided in safe house during early game.

3) Auto shotgun - this is provided later in the game. You can spam 10 bullets before needing to reload.

4) M-16 rifle - also provided later in the game. I love this gun.

5) Sniper - According to my bro, this sniper is a one-shot-ko gun. I picked it up once but threw it because in order to snipe, you need to click on the centre mouse.

Not sure whether there are others but this is what I gather from my experience.

Secondary weapon:
1) Handgun - 15 bullets and unlimited reloads.

2) Double handgun - acquirable when you find another handgun lying somewhere. 30 bullets unlimited reloads.

Grenade:
Can only carry one grenade. When thrown, all zombies will be attracted to the light and Ka-BAMM! Happy Holidays SUCKERS! Grenades can be found throughout the game.

Healthpack:
Similar to the grenade, you can only hold one healthpack and it can be found throughout the game. I think it heals about 60 health. Can be used to heal your teammates.

Painkiller:
Can only hold one, can be found throughout the game. It is used to temporarily restore your health so that you can move like normal (when your health reach a critical low, you will move slower which makes you easier to be killed by zombies).

The Zombies:
1) Normal zombies: The will just be around swaying here and there. If you shoot them and they didnt die or they notice you, they will run at you.

2) Smoker: This ball-less zombie will hide somewhere and pull you with it's tongue draining you off your life every moment. You will be immobilized and your teammate needs to kill it in order to save you. When it dies, it blasts into smoke hence the name smoker.

3) Hunter: This bloody-frog (not a frog) zombie will leap towards you and once it gets on you, it will rip you apart. To get rid of it's hold, your teammate must shoot it.

4) Tank: This f*cking-fat-ass zombie is just like it's name. Running towards you, it hammers you which is damn painful. Spam at it till it dies.

5) Witch: Hohoho...this b*tch right here is a pain in the ass. If you are not prepared and accidentally startled it, be ready to lose a lot, a lot! of health. Once startled, it runs while screaming at you and hits you (high damage). It's life is like a tank's. Gang up on it early and kill it before it reaches any of you.

6) Boomer: This b*stard right here vomits on you which blurs your vision while attracting other zombies to you at the same time. It explodes when you kill it and standing too near to it results in lost of health.

Except for the normal zombies, the will be like a notice on your screen and also sound indicating the presence of the special zombies. Not sure whether there are other types of zombies because I played only one map.

Now we come to the interesting part...Some of the stupid things I did...
1) I stand on top of a trailer while the rest has gone down to get a better look at the incoming zombies, then I got pulled from behind by a smoker and they couldnt help me. Fell down (You will fall down when your health reaches zero and if nobody comes and bring you up, you die).

2) There are propane gas tanks and boxes of fuel throughout the map which you can use to position and blow them up. What I did was instead of picking it up using the "e" button, I click left click and blast it while standing on it...health dropped to 20+

3) Because my brother was playing the character of an african-american, his character is darker than the rest. Once I mistaken him for a zombie and spammed bullets on him...swt. There is friendly-fire so dont shoot your teammates!

My review is that this is a nice and interesting game where you can practice teamwork and feel the adrenaline of zombies jumping at you. Due to the requirement of the game, I don't think I will be playing this game anytime soon unless I go to a CyberCafe again.

Very weird dreams

Lets get straight to the dreams...

First, the setting was in my secondary school's field although the terrain is a bit different. There was this girl in my dream which I was quite surprised she is inside it (not going to name her). We sat on one of the steps to the field and was watching football (soccer, not the rugby type). Couldnt remember what we chat about or whether we even chat...Then we lie down on the steps chatting again...Then suddenly I asked her whether she wants to play Ping Pong (table tennis)...What the hell? Why I said table tennis? I am not sure myself. So we went up to the block passing the Bio labs and to the Sports Storeroom. The door was open and as we approach it, the teacher in charge was just locking up. I asked her for permission to borrow the equipments and she said yes...only if you are a member of the Ping Pong club...swt...change of plans. Not sure who suggested to go to the library but she asked me to wait for her there. I went there and while waiting...jump to the second dream.

Second, it was something about Star Wars. I am not sure how to describe because I am like not there but viewing from a third person point of view. Something about a train almost falling from a cliff. Below the cliff got a village where many warriors gather. Some plan on slaughtering everybody in the village...and DARTH VADER is back (the final episode he died). Followed somebody run here and there...then got this whole strecth of action figures (toys)....then jump to third dream.

Third, in some dungeon or something like that. The wall are made out of soil and the only light illuminating the place are from torches. The mission in this dream is to steal the two Devine Rapiers from the enemy (Divine Rapier is an item from a game called DOTA. Last night, I played Dota and got whooped by the enemy with 3 Divine Rapiers). In the end the enemy realised what I was trying to do and....jump to the fourth and final dream.

Fourth, the setting is in my house on the second floor. I suddenly felt pain coming from my jaw and I felt one of my tooth shaking. When I tried to close my mouth, I couldnt close it completely because the tooth is longer than the rest. I touched it again and it dropped...I tried to close my mouth again but still couldnt. This time it was my wisdom tooth that is hurting (I dont have my wisdom tooth yet), I touched it and it also came off. So far only this two teeth I remember pulling out but suddenly both my hands are full with teeth...I went and wash it (when I was small whenever my tooth dropped, I will wash it). A tooth fell from my hand and nearly went down the sink but I quickly stopped it and retrieve it back...the end!

Crazy....

SEM BREAK!!!
Introducing my lil bro here, he likes to climb here and there (he is on the staircase railing).

My hair before cutting. Long sia....(see the monkey behind xD)

After haircut, so far my mom's hairdresser is the only one other than my mom to cut my hair short when I ask them to.

Tau fu fa!! But this tau fu fa different a bit. This tau fu fa is made out of black soya and I added nutmeg juice and also nutmeg inside (the red red thing is the cooked nutmeg)

Here is a picture to promote recycling. Eventhough it is not practical but the idea is there! hehe...

That's all...

Hang Kai at KL (Imbi area)

Today cao vivi, jack, fei tat and me went to stroll around in KL. Since Deepavali is coming close...I got a few pics of this...

This is in KL Sentral...

This one is in Low Yat plaza...

After that, we went to Sungai Wang plaza but either I cant find where the made this thing or the didnt do it...

Next is from Berjaya Times Square...

I particularly like the one in KL Sentral cause it is really not easy to create something like that. I wanted to take a shot from directly above it but once I went up, I was able to see "unwanted extra features" to the object. Some idiots just dont know how to keep their hands to themselves. Dont know how to appreciate beatiful things...Arse!

Oh ya...got myself a new headset! Now I dont need to lean forward and place my ears at my speakers whenever the audio for some movie is inaudible...tested it...its great! and it costs only RM25...worthy buy

So I followed her instead to the salon she always goes to get her hair done.

Here are the before and after pics...

"The" person I care about

She left with tears gleaming in her eyes...
for everybody she left behind
for everything she is about to find
for the unknown she fears
for leaving her sanctuary
for the anxiety in her heart
for she is alone now with nobody but herself to depend on...

All the best Jo Sheen! And I shall see you next year like we promised ^^

Mooncake festival

My purpose I went back is not because of the mooncake festival actually but for settling my JPA scholarship stuff. I dont like mooncakes anyway (no offense >..<) because it tends to stick here and there in your mouth which I really hate...

Since I am back and I want to spend time with my lil brother, we went to the temple to celebrate the festival. Before going, I thought of making a lantern with a sunquick bottle. I made a candle stand with a wire that goes into the bottle. Unfortunately, the candle couldnt last very long due to the lack of air flow...Tried to make (break actually) a hole in the bottom of the bottle and ended up breaking the whole bottle instead...lol

That night at the temple, my brother, both my small cousins and I participated in a lantern making contest. The materials used were recycled items. Having not enough time to finish, the lantern looks like literally like junk put together with tape. Haha! Nevermind, at least we had fun. I didnt bring back my camera if not you will be able to see the super cute face of my cousin XD

Then there were performances by the kids from the temple. Wow they really can sing XD

A nice chit-chat

Basically today I meet up with an old friend of mine and together we go yumcha.
Went to pick her up at her house at about 9 pm then we headed for beach cafe (a nice place to chit-chat).
On the way there, we came across a pasar malam and we detoured to the pasar malam.
We walked and we even chat about durians (its durian season).
So, after the short walk through the pasar malam, we are back on track to the cafe.

Arriving at the cafe, we were brought to a table where we ordered our drinks and catch up on all the things that we missed as well as the things that is about to come.

Having not seen each other for about a year, we just sit there and chat and chat, paying no attention to anything else around us.

Finally about 11 pm, she had to go back home so that she doesnt worry her mother. Drove her back home and a simple bye bye (I am bad at bye byes) then I drove back home and write this blog.

Hope to see her soon and good luck girl! ^.^
