Exam coming!!

MMU culture = Exam coming...half the class disappear from lecture

My culture = Exam coming...I still go to class but absorbtion of the lectures is significantly reduced so as not to add more "problems" to my already potent brain. Instead, I take more notes and later read them to catch up ^^

The famous Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde

I believe most of us know this story about Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde either from short stories we learnt back in high school or novel or movie.

2 days back I got the time to sit down freely and so I picked a movie to watch. After browsing through my movie files, I decided I would watch Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde[2008]. My first inpression was that this movie plot will be like the one I studied back in high school. Guess what...I was wrong.

Basically the idea is the same where this Dr.Jekyll have this truly brilliant idea that another a person has two seperate personalities which is the direct opposite to each other. By experimenting, he brought out Mr.Hyde. Then series of events happen...The same thing like the short story was that it leaves the viewer without a real ending and lets you conclude yourself. The difference is the setting of the story which is modern time in the movie and the conflicts that happens in the movie. To me it is interesting and worth watching.

This whole idea of having two opposite personalities really amaze me. Then questions started popping out of my head:
1. If there is two personalities, why are we in control instead of the other.
2. Can we really bring out the other?
3. When we have evil thoughts, is it the other personality trying to take control? Or when we have pure and good thoughts, is it our own?
which brings me to this question...Are we the evil or the good one?

But in the end I guess I will stick to the fact that nothing is good and evil in this world...there are only actions that brings different kind of consequences.

Back with a story

Phew, finally get to sit down and update my blog...
Got a story to share with you all which I find it funny....XD

Last week, I went to STAD (STudent Affair and sports Division) together with Tat to book a booth for my event. While talking halfway, an IS (International Student) stood at the door reading the notice "Please take off your shoes. Thank you" pasted on the door. He tried to come in with his shoes but was stopped in his tracks by the cleaner. This was what the conversation sounded like next,

Staff : Kenapa dengan dia?
Cleaner : Dia nak masuk dengan kasut.
IS : Umm...Excuse me. I am here regarding my health insurance.
Staff : You will to fill some forms.

The IS stood there frowning...after awhile...

IS : Can somebody pass me the form?
Staff 2 (the one serving us) : Jangan peduli dia...biar dia berdiri dekat situ.
IS : Excuse me...Can you pass me the form?
Staff : No...you have to come in.
IS : Can you serve me from here because it is a hassle taking off my shoes.
Staff : No...You have to take off your shoes and come in.
IS : Do you understand what I am saying? I am saying it is a hassle taking off my shoes and I am asking whether you can serve me from here?
Staff : No...You have to take off your shoes...and come in.
IS : So you are trying to say you cannot serve me from here...?
Staff : Yea...I am so sorry but you have to take off you shoes and come in.

The IS stood there for a very short while and let off a "Hmph..." then stormed off.

I wonder how complicated his shoe is that it is such a hassle taking it off...The distance between the door and the reception table is less than 10 feet...Just because of his shoes, he did not get his thing done...What a weird person...The look on his face was ironic everytime the staff asked him to take off his shoes...hehehe

My lil bro bought a new bag...Nowadays small kids bring "rocks" to school >..<

Something I found on my desk...hehe^^

On Sunday morning before going back to Malacca, I played basketball with my secondary school friends. Sad to say I did not want to go back to Malacca...I wished the holiday was longer and I wished to run away from my bloody subjects that I failed to grip with both my hands and finally RUNAWAY from the responsibilities and hopes that chains me to the ground. I want to be the me that used to be daring and reckless but always manage to evade the consequences.

But reality is reality, running away from it is not going to do me any good...
So, back to Malacca I went. When I reach there, I felt a new wind that blew "Come whatever it is, I am going to bulldoze through!".
Then right away I faced my first problem, no internet...after all the checking, my housemate came up with a thought that maybe the insides of my LAN cable was broken due to bending. So, I pulled the cable out from my room all the way to the router which is at the living room (the cable is pasted on the wall together with all my other housemates' cables). Reaching the router, I found out that my cable was not plugged in to the router...SHIT! The head of my cable is hidden somewhere in the shoe rack...There is so many cables with the same head and failing to discover which and where is mine has wasted my time and killed spirit...All I want to do now is sleep and forget about this...Hopefully the sun that rises up tomorrow will bring new life into me...

My freaking long cable that I pulled out...

Haih...Bulldoze! Bulldoze!

A nice chit-chat

Basically today I meet up with an old friend of mine and together we go yumcha.
Went to pick her up at her house at about 9 pm then we headed for beach cafe (a nice place to chit-chat).
On the way there, we came across a pasar malam and we detoured to the pasar malam.
We walked and we even chat about durians (its durian season).
So, after the short walk through the pasar malam, we are back on track to the cafe.

Arriving at the cafe, we were brought to a table where we ordered our drinks and catch up on all the things that we missed as well as the things that is about to come.

Having not seen each other for about a year, we just sit there and chat and chat, paying no attention to anything else around us.

Finally about 11 pm, she had to go back home so that she doesnt worry her mother. Drove her back home and a simple bye bye (I am bad at bye byes) then I drove back home and write this blog.

Hope to see her soon and good luck girl! ^.^

The difference between two newspaper

Last Saturday, I was on my way back to my hometown in Kajang from Malacca. I went to the main Bus Station in Malacca which is Melaka Sentral to catch a bus back home. It was 11 am when I reach there and unfortunately for me, the next ticket to KL is 3 pm! So instead I bought a ticket to Seremban (2 pm) where my mom will then fetch me home from there.

While waiting, I decided to buy myself a newspaper to occupy my time and catch up on the latest news (havent been reading newspaper for sometime now).

I went in search of newspapers and to my suprise, The Star costs RM1.50 now! (Many of you might know this but not me! >..<) "How bout NST?", I thought...Hey! It's RM1.20 which I think is reasonable since I am not reading every part of the newspaper and also this caught my attention...

Wah! Cheras...Quite near my place! Then while walking I saw another newspaper which has the same report but guess what the title sounds like...

Swt... =.='' I dont know about you guys but when I look at this, the first thing that comes to my mind was...RIDICULOUS! Eventhough it is a gimmick, still ridiculous!

Someone once told me...

Knowledge is obtained through your own effort and hard work. Keep it up!

"A's" are for God, "B's" are for lecturers, "C's" are for students and "F's" are for animals.

A good leader will always be the first person to arrive and the last person to leave.

Try to smile no matter what, cause you never know when your smile could lighten up someone's day as well as it will lighten up mine.

There are two types of leader, "THE EFFECTIVE - result based without considering the procedure" and "THE EFFICIENT - procedure based without considering the results"

Success is not Final and Failure is not Fatal

Original version
"If it doesn't kills you, it will only make you stronger"
My version
"CHARGE!!! unless you are dead..."

The medium of transfer is not what matters, it's the value of the content!

This is what I told myself: Bullshit lecturer + Insufficient notes = YOU ARE SCREWED!

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you (referring to the whole class) all the luck in your future -Dr Nabil
